One of the London's leading food shops/deli/cafis looking for talented chef to run their busy kitchen, producing a wide range of lovely dishes, utilising the finest seasonal produce from the UK, Italy, France and Spain. With a daily changing produce-led menu, you will need to display an in depth knowledge of food and a wide range of all round technical skills - from making terrines and charcuterie, to baking, chutney making and devising brilliant salads and, of course, meat and fish dishes. It would be an advantage it you have received a thorough classical training, but must also have a thorough knowledge of European cuisine. This establishment has a great reputation and also supplies some of the top restaurants in London! It has a real foodie culture and is looking for a like-minded individual to join the very harmonious working team. A calm and well mannered attitude is essential, as is a real love of cooking. You will need to demonstrate the ability to manage a small team and run an efficient, hygienic kitchen and cope with the varied demands of a very busy operation. In return, you will receive a decent salary and work predominantly day shifts, 5 days a week. You will be required to work perhaps one evening a week but this will not be a late finish.
