Sous Chef for a busy fine dining restaurant 30k-35k This restaurant has a very high profile and has been consistently busy over the years. It has a lovely location and serves interesting Modern cuisine at 2AA Rosette level. The restaurant is looking for a talented Sous Chef to join the brigade of 18 chefs. As Sous Chef you will assist the Head Chef & Senior Sous Chef in all areas of kitchen management - staff training, running the pass, implementing health & safety legislation and other back of house duties, menu design and, of course, cooking on a section when required. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically gifted Sous Chef or really strong senior CDP with a decent restaurant pedigree to really advance their management skills in a fast paced, progressive working environment. As Sous Chef, the ability to cook to a high level is paramount but as important is your ability to motivate and inspire your team and raise their standards where appropriate. Good communication skills are vital- the client is not looking for an old school head- banger!
