They are seeking a talented Sous Chef with a background in good restaurants who can cook to a high technical standard, help the Head Chef with menu creation, and manage a team of 8 chefs. Strong management skills are essential - the ability to maintain consistent food standards, inspire, train and motivate junior members, and ensure that the appropriate professional health & safety and kitchen hygiene levels are met. The ability to cook to a high level and the ability to coordinate the pass in a busy kitchen are also essential. The Head Chef runs a calm, friendly kitchen and candidates must demonstrate a mature, responsible work attitude and be utterly reliable. We are looking for someone with a real love and appreciation of great, seasonal produce and someone who really loves their job. In return, you will work for a very stable restaurant, be well paid and work 7 shifts a week with every other weekend off.
