A fast-growing, London-based, boutique event catering and corporate events company based in North London, is looking for an event planner/manager for it’s catering arm which caters primarily to high-end fashion, media, property and corporate companies (clients include Gucci, Prada, YSL, Bulgari, Goldman Sachs, Audi, MTV, Selfridges, Citigroup and Bloomberg to name but a few). The job will entail quoting for, planning, organising, delivering and managing all aspects of catering events, including food and drink, venues, staff, bars and production. Events range in size from small lunches and press days to sit-down dinners for 500 and receptions/parties for up to 2000 guests. Events take place predominantly in the evening and during the week and occasionally take place abroad. Salary between £20 - £30k dependent on experience; overtime estimated at £5k; company pension scheme, bonus, commission and other benefits. Person Spec: Ideal candidates should have at least 3 years experience in high level event catering or event production. They should possess excellent interpersonal skills, an eye for quality and detail and preferably have an active interest in and some knowledge of all things gastronomic. They should perform well under pressure, be reliable, efficient and hard-working, have a clean driving licence and be literate in Outlook, Excel and Word. Applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK and be free to travel abroad if/when necessary.
